Items in the shop, in Marks Tey in Essex, are sourced from all over the world, including some very unique ranges and samples of made-to-measure bespoke furniture. From contemporary to classic, we stock furniture for every occasion. Often, we have unusual items that make perfect gifts.

The shop has a friendly laid back approach to customers. There's no pressure and browsers are welcome at all times. Our prices are competitive, with discounts offered on large orders and in many cases our prices are much cheaper than most places locally. We pride ourselves in our personal service with each individual customer served accordingly to their requirements. If you cannot find what they are looking for, then in most cases, we are able to get it made to your size, style and type of wood.

We also offer a choice of finishes or you can supply the colour, if it is to match something else they already have. If you're having trouble finding an item, then we can spend time trying to source it.

With a wealth of experience in interior design and passion for it, we don't just sell furniture and soft furnishings but we'll happily give advice to help you make the right decision for your home. We have previously arranged a home visit to better understand your requirements, all done free of charge. In many cases, customers have become friends and now often pop in for a chat and coffee! We would welcome you to do the same.

Julia Harris was an upholsterer and hand-made curtains of all designs, which led her into interior design. The Blue Goose was a natural progression from this. Originally, The Blue Goose was a wholesaler of furniture, before moving into retail.
